Actsoft TM initially developed Comet Transportation Software by request of an early client searching for a means of running their courier business quickly recognized that Comet offered the courier and delivery industry the comprehensive business management tool that it was lacking, Actsoft TM focused its efforts on enhancing, customizing, and marketing Comet software nationwide. Comet quickly became the leading Windows-based software solution for the courier, delivery, and taxi industry. Capitalizing on its cell phone software development experience, in 2003 Actsoft TM released Comet Tracker, a mobile management software solution that utilizes the built-in GPS, Java enabled Sprint Nextel® handset to wirelessly track worker location, record worker hours, store task information and dispatch jobs to remote workers. Comet Tracker allows businesses of all types to affordably and easily monitor workers in the field and provides features to improve business operations; while seeing a very fast return on investment. Through the release of Comet Tracker, Actsoft TM became one of the first Nextel Preferred Data Partners with the only Client-based application on the market and still is today.
