Did you hear? Under the American Rescue Plan that the Department of Education recently passed to help schools reopen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of $122 billion is being allocated in relief funds.
As part of this allotment of funding, educational facilities are able to use some of this money to help upgrade or service their ventilation systems, in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, whether that be through installing air filters, replacing systems, servicing air conditioning units, or other related means.
However, educational facilities have only until September 30, 2021 to request funds, and then up until exactly one year from then (September 30, 2022) to make use of those funds, particularly for the kinds of ventilation upgrades previously mentioned.
So, what does all this mean for you as an HVAC business owner?
This is a powerful selling point for your services. While school administrators may be aware of their ability to use these funds, they may not know of the impending deadline to claim them. After making them aware of this in your marketing, from that point, you can then position your business as the one fit for the job to help improve their buildings' ventilation systems.
While you handle requests like these and others as part of your company's busy season, software like our Mobile Workforce Plus solution can help streamline the process of things for your technicians and enable them to complete repairs faster, yet with an added layer of thoroughness during the process. Via digital service requests and work orders, your techs can reference any manuals or repair instructions digitally from their mobile devices, directly from the work orders they've been sent, nearly instantly. They can then document photos of completed repairs or installations and seamlessly send them back to your office from the field, with all relevant information attached directly to each completed work order. Plus, while you're supplying your technicians with ways through our solution to be better equipped at the job site from the get-go, you're consistently saving money from reduced productivity lapses and paper costs.
These are just a couple of the powerful applications our solution provides to HVAC businesses like yours. As your business goes into schools to perform more HVAC maintenance this season, given the inevitable uptick in demand as a result of the provisions the American Rescue Plan offers, make sure things are truly done in the right way using our software.
